In-Home Personal Support

A personal support caregiver helps in providing compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities to live independently in their own homes. 

Some of the key responsibilities of a personal support workers include:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Providing transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other activities
  • Supporting community participation and socialization
  • Assisting with medication management and administration
  • Monitoring and documenting changes in health status and reporting to healthcare providers
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Encouraging and assisting with participation in therapeutic exercises and activities
  • Assisting with meal planning and preparation
  • Maintaining a clean and safe living environment
